Another year, another challenge. Shirley Kerr is in charge of our challenges and this year you are to make a quilt of any size inspired by a song. Any song you love. Each month we will again be drawing two items that you can choose between to add to your quilt. Participants have started with a block or at least gathered up their fabric and told us which song they will be interpreting. Several people stated their intentions but didn’t quite get the beginning block finished for the meeting. Unfortunately I didn’t write down the songs so I will add those to the pictures next month.
February drawing for the challenge is to use flying geese or any tool you haven’t used before. That is the challenging part!
Show and tell is always fun.
This last picture of Chris with the circular quilt is from a song challenge she did in the past. Leave a comment and tell us your best guess!
March 28th we have our workshop with Sam Hunter of Hunter Design Studios working on our “Dingbats” quilt. Great name, huh? Non members are welcome to join for the workshop, contact email Jean McDaniel firstname.lastname@example.org for information.
